Steps to Follow
So - Let get back to the initial issue, "Getting Involved". Getting involved should be gradual, long range, and with a solid match of your interests and time with eSATSi mission and goals.
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
- Register on this website and you will recieve updates, alerts and information that pertains to eSATS' mission. (If you don't want to register at this time, call eSATS or send your contact information and interests and we'll do it for you.)
- Explore this web portal, learn as much about eSATS (we are a bit complex!) as you can, and contribute your comments and ideas.
- Keep an eye on the calendar, and attend a few meetingsi where you can meet and chat with us and get to know others within our network.
- If you see an activity or initiative effort that suits you, give us a call and lets discuss your paticipation.
- As a networked organization, eSATS has no have-to's. But communicating with your three legislators comes close. Individuals within eSATS task team have been working with Arizona legislators for over three decades. We had sometimes frustrating, mostly delightful but always interesting experiences with every legislator we spoken with.
Over the past three years, almost to a person, our legislators have expressed positive interest in both eLearningi for K-12 education and for eSATS system approach for transformationi. Interest needs to be transformed to committment and action. This will take effective communication from their constutency.
eSATS needs a set of five dedicated eSATS advocates for each of the 30 districts. We need you. The time required is small and spread out over the year so it does not present a burden. But one contact can get a bill passed for eLearning that might have failed.
You can determine your district number and legislators from tinyurl.com/ys3ag2 and www.azleg.gov/MemberRoster.asp.
