Get Involved
Your involvement is based on you, your interests and where you see eSATSi fitting in with your advocacy for K-12 education. Although we talk a lot about organizations, they are just artifacts of mind. People exist and that is who eSATS is designed to collaborate with.
The eSATS organization has been designed with the expectation of a high level of interorganizational collaboration through linkage people. An interorganizational design can be a committed coalition (like Arizona Business and Education Council) or a network. eSATS is a network. A network organization design has four major elements.
- STRATEGIC PLAN: eSATS has taken a further step of transforming our strategic plan into a statewide systems design and roadmap.
- COMMUNICATIONS: Our multilevel communications system is centered in this web portal and has a sophisticated email system for providing information and alerts to selected communities. This two way communications is on a hub and spoke layout.
- REWARDS: As a volunteer, lightly funded organization our rewards are mostly intrinsic with infrequent bits of recognition and appreciation. Since our quest will play out over the next ten to fifteen years, enjoy personal satisfaction for small steps accomplished. But be patient for that rush of pride of I-was-there when Arizona K-12 academic performancei soars past Massachusetts.
- LINKAGE: Our task team and affiliates link into the leadership of most of the major organizations within the eight communities. eSATS follows the theory of "strength of weak ties." This means when an adhoc collaboration need arises, both parties can quickly get the job done with maximum of trust and a minimum of effort.
